Senior Marketing and PR Manager - Fixed Term Contract

As the Senior Marketing and PR Manager you will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing and public relations initiatives to enhance brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and support business growth in the UK.

At SIXT, performance and brand marketing are split, so this role will cover brand marketing and building only. However, expectations are to work closely with the performance marketing team (based in Germany) to maximise efforts and ensure local relevancy.

It is a very hands-on role, since there is currently no supporting team in the UK, so the candidate will need to cover all, from top line strategic to operational and admin tasks.

At the same time, there is a suite of agencies (PR, creative) and a central team to support.

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• Campaign Management: Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across offline and online channels, including management of supporting agencies. Focus will be set on UK-wide airport, TV and OOH campaigns, and local branch marketing

• Brand Development: Act as a brand guardian, strengthen SIXT’s UK brand identity and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms

• PR: With support of our PR agency, maintain media relations, manage crises and escalations, prepare press releases, monitor public reviews, and run creative campaigns to enhance public image

• Social media: Build strategy, manage creative and optimise for local social channels (FB, TW and TT) and work with central team to ensure UK presence on global IG channel

• Support and work with a range of stakeholders across the business including sales teams, Germany-based performance marketing, brand identity, international PR team and market research

• Budget and performance management: Manage the marketing and PR budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources. Analyse and report on the effectiveness of marketing and PR initiatives.

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• Degree level in relevant discipline

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in marketing and PR

• Notable verbal and written communication abilities

• Attention to detail and quality control

• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Self-motivated and proactive creative thinker
